PWCA 2019 High School Fall Novice Rowing Program
Event Dates: 9/9/2019

Program Information

Novice Rower: Anyone who has NOT completed a competitive rowing season with a high school team. A person who has completed one or more summer or fall novice rowing sessions is still considered a novice.

Experienced Rower:Anyone who has completed at least one competitive rowing season with a high school team. When registering, experienced rowers should identify their rowing preference: sweep, sculling, either. Coaches will consider rower preferences but make no guarantees concerning assignments to boats.

USROWING WAIVER: Anyone who has previously completed a waiver for either a high school rowing team during the spring 2019 season or for a summer novice camp does not need to do so again. All new novice rowers must sign the USRowing waiver before going on the water--no exceptions. Rowers sign their online USRowing waiver by following the steps below:

-Under the Individual portal, select Join
-Enter the club code: WWXB9
-Enter PWCA for club or team, not school
-Pay $9.75 for Basic USRowing Membership

Ensure all four pages are included with required signatures. Make a copy to bring to the first day of the program; keep the original for your records. Middle school athletes need a middle school physical form.

Note: you must use the "Revised Feb 2017 Form" for the 2019-2020 school year, and it must be dated after 1 May 2019 to be valid. Previous year forms will not be allowed for PWCS athletics.
Note: Same day sports physicals are available from NextCare for $25. Walk-ins are accepted.

The VHSL Examination Form, Swim Test Form, and the Middle School Physical Form can be found on the Camp Forms page at
