Directions to Rainbow Reservoir, to be used early season when boathouse is flooded:
From Route 91 (North or South) - Take Exit 40 (toward Bradley Airport). This will put you on the airport connector, Rte. 20. Exit at Hamilton Road South. Turn left at the stop sign at the end of the ramp. Turn right at the next stop sign onto Rainbow Road. Merriman Road is 1 mile ahead on your left (look for the camp sign). Turn left onto Merriman Road.
PLEASE DRIVE SLOWLY DOWN MERRIMAN ROAD AS THIS IS A RESIDENTIAL STREET. PLEASE BE AWARE THAT THE CAMP CARETAKER'S FAMILY LIVES WITHIN EARSHOT OF PARKING LOT AND THAT WE ARE GUESTS OF THE HARTFORD JEWISH COMMUNITY CENTER, WHICH RUNS CAMP SHALOM.
The camp is 1 mile ahead, at the end of Merriman Road. At the end of the road park to the right. Walk down the descending dirt road.
