Sandy Run Scullers - 2022 Sculling 101: Introduction to Sculling
Event Dates: 5/17/2022

Sandy Run Scullers is a local rowing club that provides training and recreational sculling opportunities for adult and student rowers. Class size is limited in order to give our students more individual attention.

Learn to Scull with Sandy Run Scullers! Whether you are looking to try a new sport or refresh your sculling skills, our classes offer a chance to get on the water, meet new friends, have fun, and learn the skills to keep you rowing for the rest of your life. Class size is small - just 4 students - so register today!

A few things to know prior to signing up:
  • For safety purposes you must be able to swim.
  • You must be 14 years old or older to participate.
  • You should be able to lift and carry 25 pounds over your head. You and a partner will be lifting boats from storage racks then, resting the boats on your shoulder, you will transport the boats to the dock and place the boats in the water. The boats weigh 35 - 45 pounds.
  • You should be able to stand up from a full squat, as getting into and out of a boat demands this strength.

In case of inclement weather, makeup dates will be offered and determined at that time.
